A licensed Florida attorney, and member of the Florida Bar, Matthew earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Johnson and Wales University; a Doctor of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University’s College of Law.
Prior to establishing a business law practice, Matthew was founder and president of Kenney College, a boutique graduate school licensed by the State of Florida to award the Master of Business Administration degree.
As a researcher and consultant to industry, Matthew used his knowledge of marketing, management and entrepreneurship to assist clients in various ways. Within academia, Matthew has taught more than 40 business subjects at the undergraduate and graduate levels; published many articles in peer-reviewed journals; and designed courses for accredited colleges in North America, Asia, and Europe.
As a business lawyer, Matthew maintains a specialized legal practice leveraging his knowledge and experience to benefit small business owners, early stage entrepreneurs, and victims of workplace harassment and discrimination. He also enjoys helping fellow social entrepreneurs form non-profit ventures, and working with family businesses.
